Today, a walkout was planned by students at John Jay High School who wanted to protest against the presence of transgender students in their school’s bathrooms.
Thank you for sharing this. I had many mixed emotions as we all stood there in the cold, supporting the trans youth in our community. I felt sad for the angry teens who thought it was appropriate to scream obscenities and flip us off. I also felt hope for the kids that saw us there and may have felt some love and support coming from their community. I was certainly surprised (and also, not at all surprised) by some of the reactions of trucks driving by, some of them local companies and other corporate. Love wins!

Wow! I think you did a great job documenting and explaining what you saw. Thank you for sharing this.
